Community Beautification Day

A group of over 40 Rosemary community members (adults and children) gathered in the Rosemary neighborhood Saturday March 19, 2016 for a Community Beautification Day.

We are grateful to the City of San Jose – District 1 Office of Chappie Jones for their support and for providing the cleaning supplies/tools needed for this event. A special acknowledgment also goes out to Jeff Cristina, former Campbell mayor, for donating his time and for facilitating the waste management disposal for all of the litter collected. Thank you to our Campus Collaborative members ( Mr. Bob Carlson) from the Rotary Club and (Mr. Jimmy Zien) from the Home Church for volunteering their time and for providing water and snacks for all participants! (and ongoing support!)

The Community Beautification Day resulted from a “Community Needs Assessment” that was established and identified in the Building School Success parent leadership class that took place at the Rosemary Family Learning Center from January through mid March of this school year. This project is also part of a Community Needs Assessment previously identified during the Rosemary School Campus Collaborative from last school year (2014-2015).
